Steak and Cheese Garlic Toast
Everyone loves garlic cheese toast, it’s a perfect way to soak up the rich, flavorful juices of all kinds of sauces!
A mixture of cheeses, butter and garlic, spread on thick white bread and baked until bubbly and golden. What’s not to like?
This quick and easy recipe can be made in the oven under the broiler or even grilled outdoors with steaks or chicken!
You can get creative with the cheese, try different flavors! Use any cheese you have on hand.
Garlic cheese toast goes great with soups, salads or main dishes. You can even eat it by itself as a quick cheesy snack!
Ingredients
½ cup + 2 tablespoons softened salted butter, divided.
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup Monterey jack cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
10 slices of thick, slightly dry white bread.
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Butter one side of the bread pieces with the 2 tablespoons of butter. Place them on a baking sheet, butter side down.
Combine the remaining butter, garlic and cheeses in a food processor. Pulse until combined.
Spread on unbuttered side of bread. Place in oven on middle rack and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Optional: Broil for 30-60 seconds to brown cheese.
