Fried Ribs with Homemade Honey BBQ Sauce
Fried ribs with homemade honey BBQ sauce:
Ingredients:
2 lbs pork ribs
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 cup buttermilk
Vegetable oil, for frying
For the honey BBQ sauce:
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup honey
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
In a small bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Pour the buttermilk into a separate shallow bowl.
Dip the ribs into the buttermilk, then coat with the flour mixture.
In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, carefully add the ribs and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown. Remove the ribs from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
To make the honey BBQ sauce, whisk together all of the ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
Brush the ribs with the honey BBQ sauce and serve. Enjoy!
