Here is a recipe for honey glazed sweet and spicy fried chicken:
Ingredients:
4 chicken breasts
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons paprika
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
vegetable oil, for frying
Honey Glaze:
1 cup honey
1/4 cup hot sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:
Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and place in a bowl. Pour the buttermilk over the chicken and let marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours.
In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Heat a few inches of oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 375°F.
Dip the marinated chicken pieces in the flour mixture, coating them evenly.
Carefully add the coated chicken pieces to the hot oil and fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown. Remove the chicken from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
To make the honey glaze, mix together the honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, paprika, and garlic powder in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is well combined and slightly thickened.
Brush the honey glaze over the fried chicken pieces and serve hot.
