Step by step preparation 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 large yellow onions, sliced
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard

Preparation:

  1. In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter and olive oil. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring frequently, until caramelized and soft, about 20-25 minutes.
  3. In a separate pan, cook the hamburger patties until desired doneness. Top each patty with a slice of Swiss cheese and let it melt.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, mayonnaise, and dijon mustard to create the tangy sauce.
